I am a qualified ecologist with experience of many protected species surveys and an extensive knowledge of botanical surveys. I have many years experience of protected species surveys including great crested newts, water voles, bats, otters, badgers and reptiles. I have also been involved in many types of bird surveys including wintering birds, farmland birds, estuarine surveys, point surveys and breeding birds surveys. I am also a very knowledgeable botanist from Phase 1 surveys to the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys. I have also been involved in writing ecology chapters for Environmental Statements and reports for scoping studies for Environmental Impact Assessments.
